How to play Russian Solitaire
Read the aim of Russian Solitaire, then make your first move. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Check the rule that explains your first action. Use the example below to understand a decision.
Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.
A useful comparison
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.
Step by step
- Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.
A useful example
A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Keep the game’s format in mind.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
